You must be 12 years of age to enter the facility. You need to be a minimum of 18 years old (valid ID required) to book a target and sign the liability waver. If you are under 18 years you will need to have a waiver signed by a legal guardian. We allow throwers to be 14 years old and up. Everyone admitted into our center requires a liability waiver to be signed.

The cost is $22 per person per hour + tax.

No. Reservations are not required but they are recommended to secure the time you desire. Walk-ins are welcome based upon availability.

(1). Finding a day and time in our booking section
(2). Reserving the time or times
(3.) Provide payment at checkout
(4.) Have your group dressed accordingly (no open toe shows) and ready to sign liability waivers upon arrival or online before you arrive.

It's pretty simple actually...

Axe throwing is like throwing large darts down a bowling alley. You will be throwing an axe at a target in your reserved lane. So, wrap both hands around the axe handle, lift the Axe over your head, Aim for that bull’s-eye and fire when ready!

For safety purposes, no open-toe shoes or sandals are permitted in the throwing lanes all participants must wear close toe shoes. Again – NO SANDALS OR FLIP FLOPS ARE PERMITTED. We suggest that you wear loose fitting clothing that will allow you to execute an over the head throwing motion. Our building is air conditioned and heated, so dress for the season and look good for the pics.

Yes, it will be necessary for everyone in your party to sign a Liability Waiver before we can start the training and safety orientation and get you started with your game. This can be accomplished online or in person.

Big Axe Battleground is a BYOB Establishment. BYOB is defined as beer, wine and wine-cooler style beverage. NO HARD ALCOHOL! Our established policies ensure a secure and safe throwing environment for All guests. This means that patrons wishing to partake in our BYOB policy MUST:

• Be of legal age (21 and up)
• Present a valid I.D.
• No ice chests allowed. Big Axe Battleground will provide an ice bucket for you
• Be considerate of other guests
• Do not offer beverages to those outside your party or not of legal drinking age
• Participants CANNOT be intoxicated upon arrival. They will be asked to sit out if they are impaired.

If you are not following the rules, we reserve the right to TERMINATE YOUR EXPERIENCE!

Sorry, you cannot bring your own hatchet/axe. Our insurance policy requires all of the hatchets/axes to be supplied by Big Axe Battleground. We make routine safety checks on of our equipment ensuring that you and your friends will enjoy the safest experience.

After much practice ourselves we can offer you the following tips:

• Always give the person throwing the axe plenty of room. This means at least 3 feet of clearance around the person at all times
• Put the axe in the axe holder after your set
• Wear loose fitting clothing so you can make the full range of motion for axe throwing
• Close toe shoes are mandatory, no exceptions!
• When throwing, always stay in your designated throwing box
• Indoor axe throwing is encouraged as a group activity for ages 14+ and for all skill levels, so please respect the different abilities of everyone
• The point leader throws first. The person with the next highest point is second and so on
• Consult one of our certified staff members if you have any questions
• Be aware of your surroundings and have fun!

All sales are final. However, we definitely understand that things come up. Please let us know right away if you have a conflict and we will work with you to reschedule your reservation. No refunds are given but again we will gladly assist in finding a time that will work for your party to reschedule.
